I welcome new students to sign up for this my 10th season of teaching in Canada, and my 19th year of teaching experience.  I teach children of all ages and adults as well.  Although I encourage following the Royal Conservatory Curriculum; I also welcome students who are looking to have music as an entertainment option.

Community Choir Preparing for 2nd season

The Grand Bend Community Choir will soon be launching its second season. The choir will resume practices on September 13 after labor day. Practices will be held at the Grand Bend Legion on the first three Mondays of each month. The choir concluded its first season in May when it joined with the Forest United Church choir for their annual Spring Concert. The choir also performed in the community for the World Religion Day;  for a fundraising concert at the Trivett Memorial Anglican Church IN Exeter and for the Grand Bend Horticulture society.  The director and founder of the choir Pedro Quintana has invested on an excellent sound equipment that will enhance the quality and delivery of each of the future choir performances.  We offer opportunities to soloists, local composers, duets or any other format. In this passed season we featured local composer Roberta Walker, duet formed by Frank Loscombe and Hank Winters; all music arranged and revised by Pedro Quintana.  We invite you to come and join us and be part of a group where community happens.

Inspiration:

The Grand Bend & Area Community Choir is dedicated to those musically inclined to sing and develop their voice skills in a choir friendly environment.  Music knowledge is not necessary.

What Kind of Music?

The community choir will learn all kinds of music from classical, Broadway, and Pop music.

Performances

Performances will take place in our community in different venues throughout the year

Location of Practices

The choir will meet once a week at the Grand Bend Legion on the first three Mondays of the month from 7:00-9:00p.m.  Practices will start on September 14, 2009 and conclude on June 28 with a choir reception party

Membership cost per person

$50.00 per year

Prefer to try it once pass

Just show up to choir practice once at no charge; enjoy it and decide later

Concert clothing:

Clothing for concerts is collectively chosen (colors and style) and individually looked after (cost-upkeep)
